zenFB Suite

The zenFB suite is a host of social plug-ins based on the Facebook SDK and used for integrating your Zenphoto-based site socially with Facebook. Simple things such as adding a like button, a comment box, recent activity, site recommendations, and more.

Please keep in mind that while the Facebook SDK is stable, it is still in development, so some plug-ins may not be available for use with your Zenphoto gallery, or their functionality may be impaired from time to time.

Initially each plug-in was separately released.  I have since combined them into one archive file, and there is now a common plug-in that is required to be activated if you intend to use any of the other plug-ins.  This allows for one-time loading of OpenGraph keys, as well as other common options such as Admin and Application ID's.

zenFBcommon

zenFBcommon came into existence a few updates ago (1.4.0-6454).  It's purpose is to serve as a central point for loading of the Open Graph meta tags used by the zenFBSuite of plugins for the "pretty posts" done on the Facebook walls.  It also serves as an option interface for common options needed for all of the zenFBSuite of plug-ins.

zenFBLike

zenFBLike adds a simple Facebook "Like Button" to your site via template calls.  Place the like button anywhere you'd like, image, albums, pages, news, footer. Has a light and dark theme.

zenFBComments

zenFBComments adds additional functionality to the Like Button feature.  It allows users to add comments and displays them in the comment box on your site, as well as allowing the user to post to their facebook page, directing more traffic to your site! Has a light or dark theme.  Syncs between facebook and your site, as well as provides notifications if somebody replies to a comment.

zenFBRecommend

zenFBRecommend adds a Facebook generated "Recommendations" box based on the shared content of your site. This box has both a light and dark theme, as well as removable header for clean site integration.

zenFBActivity

zenFBActivity adds a "Recent Activity" box to your site.  It can also be used as a combo box showing recommendations as well.  It will populate the box (based on your configured dimensions) with recent activity, and then any space left over will fill with recommendations.

zenFBSend

zenFBSend adds a "Send" button to your templates.  It allows a user to send the site link info that would normally post to their wall with a Like button via Facebook message to a Facebook user or group, or an email address.

Developer Note:
As the Facebook plug-ins receive extended development, I will continue to try to improve them in Zenphoto.
